Hello book lovers! Time for a very controversial topic, what’s the best Harry Potter book? I’ll be talking about what I liked and disliked with a final ranking of my favorites! Warning: due to the nature of this topic there is spoilers for the entire Harry Potter series.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

This book is iconic, and great for many reasons, it is literally the beginning of a whole world of magic. While this is true and I absolutely loved this book, it just doesn’t compare to the later books in the series.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Chamber of Secrets is such a great second book. It is so exciting, and it really shows how much Harry has grown!

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

I liked the overall story of this book because it was fun, but it didn’t really add the overall plot of the series. This makes dislike this book compared to the other books in the series!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

This book doesn’t really need an explanation because everyone loves it, and rightfully so! The Triwizard Tournament is so exciting, and meeting other schools is simply magical. Not only that, but it really starts up the overall plot development for the entire series, which is very exciting!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

I loved this book so much! The Order was so exciting to read about, and really showed how the books were maturing. Also, Dolores Umbridge made the book infuriatingly amazing. She created a great mood that the other books simply didn’t have !

Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince

This book had a nice twist of mystery that the other books didn’t have. It added a cool new layer to the story that really elevated the book. While at times it was a bit slow, overall it was really good!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

The finale was really well done, which isn’t always the case for long book series! It wrapped up everything so well, and really made the series magical. I loved how the series wrapped up, and this is one of my favorite Harry Potter novels!
