What’s it about?

Emika Chen is a bounty hunter. She makes her money by catching illegal Warcross players that the police don’t have time to catch. When she’s low on cash and only days away from being evicted from her apartment, she decides to pull a hack. Emika takes a risk trying to nab one of the power ups in the Warcross Championships. Only she accidently glitches herself into the game. Everyone is in a frenzy wondering how Emika Chen hacked in, and she’s convinced she’s going to be arrested. In a shocking turn of events, she gets a call from Hideo Tanaka, Warcross’s famed creator. She’s offered the opportunity of a lifetime with a paycheck of a lifetime, but too soon she begins to discover a plot threatening all of Warcross.

Warcross might be my favorite book ever!! I absolutely loved this book sooooooo much!!

What I loved

The characters are some of the best I’ve ever read! They are expertly written, you can really understand and relate to them. Some of them are written in such a mysterious way, it is absolutely wonderful!! They are just so perfectly imperfect!

This plot is so good!! It was so perfectly paced, it was such an exciting read!! I was constantly excited about what might come next! The plot is equally plot and character driven, which is written in a spectacular way!

The themes are wonderful! When you really think about Warcross, there are so many themes that allow for really good conversations!

The world-building is so perfect! All of the fictional elements are perfectly weaved into a world rather similar to our own. This makes the read super fun and enjoyable!

Warcross is an extremely interesting book when you compare it to todays world. Much of the fictional elements are becoming true in todays world. This allows for amazing conversations about how books can sometimes model the future, and how fiction can become fact. This also is very cool because Warcross was published in 2017!

What I Disliked

Absolutely nothing.

Much to my dismay, there isn’t a movie for Warcross 😭😭

Conclusion
