Skyhunter is a wonderful novel that truly shows how awesome Marie Lu is! It’s characters are soooooo amazing! The plot is also a new and unique sci-fi and dystopian novel!
What I loved
I absolutely loved the characters! They are so perfectly written! Their flaws are written in a way that only Marie Lu can do! They are written in a way that allows you to really understand the characters, and what they are going through!!
The plot is so unique! After reading most of the top YA dystopian novels, Skyhunter was refreshingly unique! Most dystopian novels seem to follow a step-by-step list of what they must include and what must happen. Skyhunter is so different; it helped revamp my love for dystopian novels!
Skyhunter and its sequel, Steelstriker, are full of wonderful quotes! Books that have a lot of good quotes are something I really appreciate. I find that this allows to make a really big impact on the reader, and can communicate a lot of powerful themes!
What I Disliked
I didn’t dislike any aspect of this book! It just wasn’t quite at the level of my other 5-star reads!
Book vs. Movie
There isn’t a movie for Skyhunter, even though there should be!!
Should You Read It?
Yes! I loved this novel, and if you like dystopian books, you will too! This is a great book, with great characters and great quotes! This book is almost too perfect!
Conclusion
Skyhunter is a unique dystopian book that follows Talin and her struggles in a world where she doesn’t belong. I loved the characters and the plot! Skyhunter is also full of amazing, very powerful quotes! I highly recommend you read this novel! Happy reading!!!
