So I’ve read a lot of books. Through reading all of these books, I’ve found many amazing authors! Here’s a list of my top five favorite authors!!

Author Number 5

John Green

John Green is awesome! His books are always so emotional and powerful!! I simply love his writing!! All of his books are honestly just beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. His writing and storytelling is just beautiful, and the stories he tells are heartbreaking, but necessary all the same. Turtles All the Way Down is my personal favorite of his novels!!

Author Number 4

Holly Jackson

Holly Jackson can really write an edgy murder mystery that is very borderline horror! Her mysteries have me on the edge of my seat the whole read and looking over my shoulder afterwards. Her mysteries are perfected plotted, and honestly just the right amount of scary!! Also, As Good As Dead, the 3rd and final book to the AGGGTM series, is my favorite! Which, for a mysteries isn’t usually the case! Real writing talent to make good mystery series!

Author Number 3

Leigh Bardugo

Leigh Bardugo is a wonderfully talented writer!! She can write the best characters in the world, and the dynamics between the characters is crazily awesome! True talent!! She can also really plan out a whole series!! The whole Grishaverse is a true example of the work she puts into making all of her work fit together!

Author Number 2

Karen M. McManus

She’s known as the queen of mystery, and that’s no lie. I’ve read all of her books, and they are all wonderful! She can craft a mystery like no other!!! The twists and turns are amazing, and her writing is honestly iconic! My favorite novel that she’s written is One of Us Is Back, the 3rd and final book to the One of Us Is Lying series!!

Author Number 1

Marie Lu

So I might love Marie Lu a little too much. I’m OBSESSED with all of her books! They are all absolutely wonderful, and I adore every aspect of her writing! Whether it’s the plot, the characters, the flawless world building, the twists and turns, the themes, or anything else I forgot to list, it is done in a way that only Marie Lu can do!!! Her writing is wonderful! If you haven’t read any of her books, check out Stars and Smoke so you’re ready for the sequel coming on June 11, 2024!!!! Also, you can check out my ARC review for Icon and Inferno, the sequel here! Also, my favorite novel of that she’s written, and maybe ever, is Warcross, my review is here!
