I haven’t read that many CRF books, but these ones were amazing!! Happy reading!!!

Hazel’s life is anything but normal. She’s a terminal cancer patient with nothing to live for. Until she falls in love with Augustus Waters at a support group for kids with cancer. Her life finally has meaning; she has something she wants to live for. But how much time does she have left to live her new life with Augustus?

The Fault in Our Stars is truly beautiful! This book brought tears to my eyes in the best way possible. The book is so raw and heartbreaking, the story is like no other! The story is wonderful, and the meaning behind it makes it even better! This novel is perfect for any type of reader!!

Starr Carter lives two different lives. She carefully keeps her home life, a poor, mostly black neighborhood separate from her school life, a fancy, primarily white prep school. Her two lives are suddenly thrown together when she witnesses her childhood best friend, Khalil, is shot and killed by a police officer. Everyone wants to know what really happened that night, but will Starr be able to find the courage to speak out?

The Hate U Give us a book everyone must read! This book gives an amazing perspective and follows a beautiful journey of a young girl in a hard world. It is not only a wonderful Black empowerment novel, but it provides a great opportunity to gain empathy and increase world view! This book is very moving and has stayed on my mind for a while now!

A lot can be done in 54 minutes. At Opportunity High School, a gun starts going off. Tyler Browne, a high school dropout, comes back one day with a gun and enough bullets to kill the school. As everyone on the inside tries to find a way out, those on the outside try to beat the clock and make it in before everyone’s gone.

This Is Where It Ends is a truly heartbreaking novel that I believe everyone must read. It is one of the saddest, if not the saddest, book I’ve ever read. It’s the kind of book that tears your heart out, leaves you speechless, and makes you question your life. While the book is difficult, oftentimes painful, to read, I believe that the world should read this book. The themes and meaning behind this book may change your life. Read it. (Make sure you give yourself a couple hours to start/finish the book! I read it in one sitting!)

Rachel Chu is just your average New Yorker who is an econ professor at NYU. That is until her boyfriend, Nick Young, invites her to travel around Asia for the summer. Nick might have left out a few details about his family, such as the fact that his the Youngs are one of the richest families in Singapore. Suddenly, Rachel is thrown into a world of riches that puts her relationship with Nick to the test, and challenges her to navigate her new life of old money, new money, nosy relatives, and ruthless social climbers

Crazy Rich Asians isn’t 100% a CRF book, but I decided to include it anyway because it’s a very fun read! The Asian culture really shines through, which is a lot of fun and educational!
